    BE POLEMICAL

    Bene, abbiamo perso il contest della DIESEL (quella che produce jeans e stile). fertYlize ha perso con una mention. Per farla breve abbiamo partecipato ad un contest per poter pagare l’affitto a fine mese e quello che abbiamo fatto, è stato leggere e rileggere il brief cercando di sviluppare un lavoro coerente che se in seguito avesse peccato per genialità, avrebbe sicuramente fatto colpo per coerenza. DIESEL aveva lanciato questo contest su una piattaforma UGC (user generated contents) chiamata ZOOPPA. La cosa bella è Zooppa che dà la possibilità a giovani creativi e non, di mettersi in luce davanti alle BIG BRANDS, la cosa brutta è DIESEL che ci ha fatto aspettare 3 mesi per avere i risultati e poi (oltre ad avere miseramente perso con una dolce mention*) abbiamo subito l’ironia della sorte che vede come vincitori persone che hanno fatto dei lavori di qualità ma TOTALMENTE fuori brief.
    Alle elementari per i pensierini d’italiano prendevi voto: MALE se andavi fuori brief! Con DIESEL vinci. Il punto, quello che mi fa veramente incazzare e che fa incazzare il mio inseparabile collega, è che ci eravamo promessi di smettere di FUMARE nel caso avessimo perso. Bene così è stato ma il fatto che i risultati siano arrivati alle porte del weekend… fa incazzare davvero. Smettere di fumare durante concerti, cene fuori con gli amici e probabilmente bere, bere, bere. Ora siamo anche nel periodo natalizio quindi prende MALE. Cara DIESEL, DICEMBRE è il mese sbagliato per dire alla gente: avete perso, figuriamoci durante il weekend!

    Well, we lost the contest DIESEL (the one that produces jeans and style). fertYlize has lost with a mention. In short, we participated in a contest due to pay the rent this month and what we did was read and reread and read again (and reread once again) the briefing form trying to develop a coherent solution. So we thought: if we’ll not win due to our genius idea, at least we’ll win cause we are coherent with the briefing form. DIESEL launched this contest on a platform UGC (User Generated Contents) call ZOOPPA (www.zooppa.com) The nice thing about Zooppa is the opportunity for young creative people (and not) to shine in front of BIG BRANDS. Bad thing about DIESEL is that it made us wait 3 months to get the results of the contest and then (in addition to having miserably lost with a sweet mention *) we suffered the irony of fate that see the winners (qui nella parola winner ci metterei il link al video) who have made a real quality work but totally out brief, and whan I say totally I mean fu**ing totally!!.
    When I was at primary school, once in a month, the teacher give us a topic like “what did you do on Sunday” or “speak about your grandparents”. Well, all the time I was not following the brief, the vote was, of coure: BAD. By the way with DIESEL is: GREAT JOB!! . The point, what makes me really angry and pissed off me and my inseparable friend/colleague, is that we had promised to quit smoking if we had lost this contest. Well, we lost, but the fact that the results arrived at the gates of the weekend … it really pissed off. Quitting smoking at concerts, dinners out with friends and probably while drinking, drinking, drinking. Now we are at Christmas and that is fu**ing bad because smoking in december is so nice! Dear DIESEL, December is the wrong month to tell people: you have lost. Even worse during the week end!
